Zilphia Branigan

Z ilphia J. (Cook) Branigan was born May 5 1947, to Robert and Betty Cook in Lincoln County, NE, and passed away December 8, 2022.

Zilphia was married to John D. "Jack" Branigan on August 17, 1966. They were married for 56 years and made their homes in California, Colorado and Nebraska. Zilphia was an avid gardener, talented quilter, and artistic beyond measure.

She was proceeded in death by beloved son, Robert "Bob/Rob" Branigan; brother, Clark "Butch" Cook; half-brother, John "Jesse" James; her parents and grandparents.

Survivors include her husband, Jack; daughter, Kelly; daughter-in-law, Denise; grandchildren, Devin, Dante, Quinn, Dillon, Dakota and Reegan; her siblings, Marsha Sybert (Charlie), Curt Cook (Connie); sister-in-law, Clara Cook; and other family.

Zilphia will be laid to rest at 1:00 p.m. on Friday May 5, 2023, at the Wellfleet Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held afterwards at Occasions Event Center, 125 E. North Lake Road, North Platte.
