Zandra Jean Kyne, age 79, of North Platte, NE, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015, at the Good Life Center in Callaway, NE.
Zandra was born October 29, 1936, to Robert and Fern Lanham at Mullen, NE and grew up north of Stapleton, NE. In 1950 the family moved to Arnold, NE where Zandra graduated from Arnold High School with the Class of 1954.
On November 6, 1955, Zandra was united in marriage to Leonard Michael Kyne in Arnold. To this union three children, Colynn, Jay and Patti, were born then the family grew when Kipley, Jerry, Christopher and Sissy were adopted. Zandra and Leonard had been married for over 46 years when he passed away in 2002.
Zandra had worked at the Arnold Hospital as a Nurse's Aide then stayed home with the children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Arnold.
She is survived by her children, Patti (Kevin) Peterson, of Lyman, NE, Sissy Kyne, of Central City, NE, Jay Kyne of Yuma, AZ, and Christopher (Dee) Kyne and Jerry Kyne, all of Rapid City, SD; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two sisters, Sharon (Robert) Starkan, of Brentwood, CA, and Donna (Wayne) Bond, of Tuthill, SD; brother, Doug (Carlene) Lanham, of Arnold; and other family.
Along with her husband, Leonard, Zandra was preceded in death by their son, Kipley Kyne; daughter, Colynn Forman; and her parents, Robert and Fern Lanham.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. The casket will be closed. The memorial book may be signed at odeanchapel.com or prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to Callaway Good Life Center or the Donor's Choice. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
