Wes Andre-Henn

O n November 11, 2023, at the age of 71, Weston "Wes" Andre-Henn peacefully passed away at his home in North Platte, NE.

Wes was born July 17, 1952, to John and Ruth Henn in Bethlehem, PA, where he grew up.  He graduated from Liberty High School then received his B.A. from Mansfield State College in Pennsylvania and later, his Master's Degree from Kearney State Teaching College.

Wes had a long career in teaching and being a school counselor for North Platte Public Schools. He was also past president of the N.P. Teachers Association.

In 1992 Wes married Krysten Andre in North Platte where they made their home together.

Wes was kind and giving.  He was a longtime blood donor and loved reading and walking barefoot on the beach.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jackie; and brother-in-law, Dale Koch.

Wes is survived by his wife, Krysten Andre-Henn, and parents-in-law, Bernard and Sharen Andre, and sister-in-law, Michelle Andre, all of North Platte; brothers-in-law, Michael (Kathy) Andre, of Beaverton, OR, Terry (Shelly) Andre of Lincoln and David (Brenda) Andre of Madison Lake, MN; his sister, Beverly Koch of Bethlehem, PA; and other family.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no formal services.  Family will be receiving friends from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, November 17, at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are to the N.P.
