Tracy Michele (Haist) Miller, 64, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, in North Platte, Nebraska, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on January 10, 1961, in Seattle, Washington, Tracy was the daughter of William Mitchell Haist III and Duveen Haist. She spent her formative years in Washington and graduated from Oak Harbor High School. Driven by a passion for learning and a commitment to personal growth, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University.
The summer after graduating, Tracy moved to Hershey, Nebraska, where she lived with her uncle and aunt, George and Marylin Huebner. In August of 1986, she married Greg Miller, and together they made their home in Hershey. Their union was blessed with three daughters: Shaylyn, Daynlee, and Treyann.
Throughout her life, Tracy embodied strength, faith, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her warm heart and resilient spirit touched everyone she encountered. Whether offering a listening ear or a helping hand, she brought joy through her kindness, humor, and steadfast support.
Tracy was deeply devoted to her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters: Shaylyn Thornburg and her husband James; Daynlee Miller and her significant other Lauren Lashley; and Treyann Siefford and her husband Brandon. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Colton, Coy, Emma, Jada, and Grace Thornburg; Noah and Jayce Decent; and Greyson Miller.
Tracy is also survived by her stepmother Jeanne Haist; brother Treve Haist; stepsister Amy Humphrey and her husband Kevin; as well as many other beloved relatives who were touched by her presence.
Tracy was preceded in death by her husband Greg Miller; parents William Mitchell Haist III and Duveen Haist; mother-in-law and father-in-law Glenda and Connie Miller; and sister-in-law Jill Haist.
A woman of deep faith and enduring love for others, Tracy leaves behind a legacy of compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her memory will be held close in the hearts of those whose lives she enriched.

A Service will be held on September 16, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Maria Lutheran Church, 521 N Lincoln Ave. Hershey, NE. Burial to follow at Trinity Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. with family present between 4 and 5 at Odean Colonial Chapel at C and Sycamore.
