Titus Finn Deatrich

July 17, 2020 — October 26, 2025

Titus Finn was born July 17th, 2020, to Tell and Bekah Deatrich. He adored his older brother, Zephaniah, whom he loved to follow everywhere, and his younger brother, Ezekiel, whom the family often joked, “he couldn’t stand, but couldn’t stand to be without.” He loved warm snuggles, wearing his spurs, checking cattle with Grandpa, and visiting both grandmas on the ranch.

A quiet, attentive, and polite little guy, he had the deepest belly laugh and could be slightly mischievous and rambunctious in his own way. Riding horses and tagging along in the skid steer were some of his favorite activities. He was starting to drive the side-by-side by himself and could pilot the four-wheeler if needed. He liked to dig and build. He had a stuffed penguin called “Penguinie,” and lately, his favorite book was Curious George.

He was an oatmeal-for-breakfast kind of guy until recently when he switched to peanut butter and jelly dipped in milk. He was adamant about brown sugar on his oatmeal, getting it himself and making sure no one stirred it in, mostly so he could get more than he should and eat it right off the top.

A favorite story of his dad’s was when Titus got Grandma Bev’s angel food cake pan stuck over his head. The grandmas and mom had his head all smeared with butter to try to get it back off, but ended up cutting it off and replacing the cake pan.

He is survived by his parents; his brothers, Zephaniah and Ezekiel; his grandparents, Todd and Jan (Dodson) Deatrich of Maywood, Allen and Gina Bodine of Colorado, Jana (Skinner) and Jerry Sheridan of Texas; great grandparents, Patricia (Ziegler) Deatrich of Gothenburg, and Beverly (Gale) Dodson of Maywood; aunts and uncles, Shoni (Davin) Doyle of Colorado, Christopher (Gianna) Bodine of Colorado, Sarah (Calvin) Moore of Minden, NE, Elizabeth (Christopher) Tafoya of Colorado, Matthew (Beth) Bodine of Texas; and numerous great-uncles and aunts and extended family.

Preceding him in death are his great-grandparents, Duane Dodson, Merrill and June (Poucher) Bodine, and James and Darlene (Boggs) Skinner, Sr.; and his dad’s cousin, Landon Dodson.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at North Platte Berean Church with Brian Nicklas officiating. Burial will follow at Wellfleet Cemetery in Wellfleet, NE.
