Stephen P. Frame

November 22, 1954 — July 20, 2025

Stephen P. Frame, age 70, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. Born on November 22, 1954, to Perry and Phyllis (Guillaume) Frame, Steve grew up on the family farm northeast of Hershey, where he shared a close bond with his cousins- Jim, John, Ray, Beverly, and Barb Frame- and his brothers at heart, Greg Babbitt and Ron Guilliaume.

A proud graduate of Hershey High School in 1973, Steve pursued Ag-related studies at the University of Nebraska, embodying his love for the land and agriculture. On August 9,1975, he married Christina Canaday, and together they raised a wonderful family on the farm for over 20 years.

Steve's dedicated career began at Union Pacific Railroad as a machinist, eventually leading him to Nebraska Public Power, where he worked for 25 plus years before health issues necessitated his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a 3rd degree Knight.

An avid sportsman, Steve enjoyed participating in sports during his younger years. He found joy in hunting, trapping, and fishing, and was an unwavering supporter of sports, proudly cheering for his beloved Huskers.

The true joy of Steve's life came from his grandchildren: Stephanie, Nathan, Grayson, and Grady. His face would light up at the mere mention of their names, and not a day went by when he didn't celebrate their accomplishments and adventures.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his cousins Ray Frame, Cynthia Sacks and Lorna Packett. He is survived by his devoted wife of just 3 weeks shy of 50 years, Christina, his children, Travis (Angela) Frame and Jennifer (Thomas) Moore, his beloved grandchildren, many cousins, and his adored caregivers Tonya, Terri, Melissa, and Sheri.

His warmth, kindness, and passion for life will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. Rosary will be held Sunday July 27th at Odean Colonial Chapel  at 5:00 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 28th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in North Platte. The book may be signed at any time before the service at Odean Colonial Chapel.
