Sharon Bierma

S haron B ierma, daughter of Lester and Lewellen Bierma, was born March 29, 1951.  She peacefully passed away April 23, 2025, at the age of 74.

Sharon lived all her life in North Platte.  She attended Roosevelt and Lincoln Elementary Schools, then as a teenager, attended ESU #16 and the Opportunity Center.

Sharon's first job was working at Krispy Krust Bakery.  She then worked at CharBar and later Dairy Queen until retiring.  She loved retirement and made the most of it!  She enjoyed going to live music events, Tuesday movies at the theater, socializing, and of course, being bossy.  Sharon also made time to volunteer with R.S.V.P. and attended the Salvation Army Church and Women's Home League.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Lyle and Dennis Bierma.

Sharon is survived by her siblings, Larry Bierma (Janet) of Punta Gorda, FL, and Sandy Gale (Wally) of North Platte; her nieces, Deb Scott, Brenda Rivera (Rick), Bonnie Colson (Dane), Lacey Lovelace, Lindsey Woodworth (Jonathan); nephews, Casey Lovelace (Suzie), Michael Bierma, Ryan Bierma (Bobbie Jo); many great-nieces and great-nephews; and other family.

Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 2, at Odean Colonial Chapel.  Please wear purple, in honor of Sharon's favorite color.  Burial follows at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.  Visitation is prior to the service at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com.
