Shanquail Ropers-Keith, 32, of Chappell, formerly of North Platte, died Monday, August 26, 2019, at the Garden County Hospital in Oshkosh.
Shanquail was born July 18, 1987, to Vivian Anderson and Joseph Ropers at North Platte and was later adopted by Judith Keith in 2003. Shanquail grew up in North Platte and was raised in the Catholic church. She graduated from Maxwell High School in 2006 and later had a son, Michael, who was her best joy in life. In 2013 Shanquail met Allen Rankin and they have been sharing their lives together in Chappell ever since.
Shanquail loved dogs, playing Shanghai card games and video games, and listening to music. She also loved spending time with her family, especially making monthly trips to her brother’s house in North Platte to spoil her nieces with gifts.
She leaves behind her best friend, Allen Rankin, of Chappell; son, Michael, and brother, Kailin (Patricia) Williams, all of North Platte; her father, Joseph Ropers, of Anselmo; adopted mother, Judith Keith, of Washington; nieces, Lorena and Isabel; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family.
Shanquail was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian Anderson; sister, Elizabeth Ropers; aunt, Marie; and uncles, Vic and Mike.
Cremation was chosen. Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore with Father Josh Brown officiating. The memorial book may be signed at odeanchapel.com or prior to the service at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.
