Sandra Lee Ladner, of Wiggins, Mississippi, died at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska, on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the age of 49. Sandra was working as a traveling nurse and had just recently been assigned to a hospital in Oshkosh, Nebraska.
Sandra was born on March 1, 1968, to C.W. and Mary Beth (McCullough) Ward in Tampa, Florida. She grew up in different places as an "Air Force Brat" but sprouted roots in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and South Mississippi.
In 2002, Sandra received her L.P.N. Degree and began working in pediatrics and geriatrics, she loved working with both the young and the old. She was later employed by Prime Time Health Care and became a traveling nurse, which she also loved. She enjoyed the traveling and found Washington State to be her favorite place.
Sandra had a beautiful, bubbly personality and a strong Christian faith. She never knew a stranger and had a passion for helping others, which she was able to do even after her death by being an organ donor. Sandra especially loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed traveling with her fiancée, Laurie. She will be greatly missed as she leaves us much too soon.
Sandra is survived by her fiancée, Laurie Lambert, of Biloxi, Mississippi; her children, Elizabeth "Ashley" (Phillip) Hubbard, of Wasilla, Alaska, Marisa (Henry) Griffith, of Vancleave, Mississippi, Jennifer Ladner, of Dowagiac, Michigan, and Janae (Ryan) Smith and Jamie "Bubba" Ladner, all of Wiggins, Mississippi; sister, Peggy Brown, of Gulfport, Mississippi; brothers, Mike (Michelle) Ward, of Kerrville, Texas, and Chris (Ann) Ward, of Austin, Texas; 12 grandchildren, Ethan, Gage, Kaylem, Baylee, Mariah, Noah, Ally, Braxton, Kyler, Tyleigh, Lakely and Rhett; as well as countless nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, C.W. and Mary Ward.
Cremation was chosen.
