Sally Shepherd Perry

S ally S hepherd P erry, age 69, of North Platte, died at home April 17, 2021.

Sally was born to Ivan and Eunice Shepherd on June 13, 1951, at Arnold where she grew up. After graduating from Arnold High School, Sally attended business school in Grand Island then moved to North Platte where she worked at the Bus Depot and had a son, Robin, in 1974.

Sally later met William Perry and they married in July 1985. A couple years later her daughter, Samantha, was born. Sally went on to work for Nebraska Machinery and attended Mid-Plains Community College, earning her Associates Degree, then moved to Kearney in the mid '90's and received her Bachelor's Degree in Education.

Sally worked for Cabela's Call Center in Kearney and when she moved back to North Platte in 2000 she continued working for Cabela's until retiring in 2015.

Sally was a member of the Arnold Legion Auxiliary and was a cancer survivor. She enjoyed gardening, reading and loved spending time with her family. Sally especially enjoyed baby-sitting her grandchildren and would open her home to any of her family in need.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ivan Shepherd.

Sally is survived by her mother, Eunice Shepherd, and children, Rob Shepherd and Samantha and her husband, Jason Hopkinson, all of North Platte; grandchildren, Tessa, Takia, Jayden and Brody Shepherd; great-granddaughter, Mila Alvorado; her brother, Gregory Shepherd, and niece, Victoria Shepherd, both of Minden; and other family.

Cremation was chosen. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Odean Colonial Chapel with Pastor Clint Walker officiating.
