Rosalie A. “Rose” McNulty, 88, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away on May 10, 2026. She was born on December 2, 1937, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Emil and Anna Schwindt.
Rose graduated from Lincoln High School in 1955. On July 9, 1973, she was united in marriage to Bernie McNulty in Seattle, Washington. The couple later made their home in North Platte in 1977.
Rose worked for Alexander, Alexander, Weaver and Menier in Lincoln for many years before relocating. After moving to North Platte, she continued her career at Rosenberg Insurance, where she worked until her retirement in 2012.
Rose had a deep love for Nebraska football and country music. She found joy in baking, shopping, and especially in celebrating the holidays. Her home was always beautifully decorated, filled with the warmth and scent of the season. She was known for her thoughtful nature, never missing an opportunity to send gifts to loved ones—no matter the distance. Rose and Bernie also shared a love of travel, often exploring the country together on their motorcycle.
She is survived by her children: Kendall Hope of Wichita; Dan and Polly McNulty of North Platte; Dianne and Vince Harper of North Platte; Jeff and Connie McNulty of North Platte; Mike and Shelly McNulty of Tucson, Arizona; Dawn McNulty of Lincoln; Dee Dee McNulty of Lincoln; Deb McNulty of Broken Bow; and Rochetle Putnam of Broken Bow. She is also survived by many grandchildren, including Danielle McNulty, Anna McNulty, Kristen Yost, Cody Hope, Adam Hope, Abbey Hope, Brenden McNulty, Peyton McNulty, Matt McNulty, Myron Lovett, Marcus Lovett, Kayce Lovett, Jessica Anderson, and Brian Kendall; as well as 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie; her parents, Emil and Anna Schwindt; her brother, Jerry Schwindt; and her sisters, Sylvia Down and Gloria Guildner.
