November 9, 1958 — August 27, 2021

R odney H asbrouck, Sr., of Hershey, unexpectedly died at Great Plains Health on August 27, 2021. He was 62 years old.

Rodney was born in North Platte on November 9, 1958, to Bill and Edith Hasbrouck. He grew up in North Platte and Las Vegas then joined the U.S. Marines in 1975. Following his discharge in '79 Rod reenlisted and served from 1980-1992. During his time he served in Desert Storm.

On August 27, 1992, Rodney married Kathie Miller at the Little White Chapel Drive-thru in Las Vegas and they made their home in Hershey. Rod was a member of the Hershey American Legion, some online coin clubs and Eagles Airies #2839. He had a lot of hobbies which included collecting coins, tinkering with things and making wind chimes and pieces of art. Rod loved fishing and had fished in many different states. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them at The Bar as well as hosting a massive 4th of July fireworks show for all to enjoy. Rod was taken too soon and will be missed so much.
