Rick Clark, Sr.

R ichard 'Rick' Clark, Sr., passed away at his home in North Platte on August 7, 2022, at the age of 75.

Rick, the son of Ivory and Alvina Clark, was born at Lexington on May 2, 1947. He grew up in North Platte where he graduated from high school in 1965. Rick then enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and was stationed in California. After he was honorably discharged in May of 1966, Rick traveled the United States for a few years. He returned to North Platte in 1972 and went to work for Knapp Electric then Masonite.

Rick was united in marriage to Ramona Martinez on June 18, 1986, in North Platte and he found his faith in the Lord that same year. He was a member of Victory Church of God and enjoyed football, the Huskers and New England Patriots were his favorite teams.

Rick will always be remembered as a simple man with simple pleasures.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivory and Alvina; sister, Kathryn Wood; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Ponce

Rick is survived by his wife, Ramona of North Platte; children, Richard Clark, Jr. and Misty Dillenburg of North Platte, Loriann (Gary) Dalby of North Carolina and Michael (Minerva) Sellers, Martin (Sharon) Sellers, Lisa (K.C.) Stark and Deloris Sellers, all of North Platte; his sisters, Wanda Wagner of Cove, OK, and Patricia (Patrick) McMahn of Hemmingford; sister-in-law, Julie (Bob) Holiday and brothers-in-law, Jessie (Vicki) Martinez and Robert Ponce, all of North Platte; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family.

Services will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Odean Colonial Chapel with Joe Sukraw officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Ft. McPherson National Cemetery.
