Peter Happle

Peter Happle, of North Platte, died at Great Plains Health on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at the age of 66.

Peter was born in Canada on January 28, 1953, to Frank and Doris Happle. He eventually found his way to North Platte where he worked as a chef at a local restaurant and was married for a while.

After an injury prevented Peter from cooking, he went back to school to study as a Medical Lab Technician. He enjoyed his studies and graduated from Mid-Plains Community College in 2011 then moved to California for a short time to help care for his mom. Peter later returned to North Platte where he has been ever since.

He loved trains and was amazed by what they could do and how they operated. Peter will be remembered by those who knew him as a good person.

He is survived by his sister, Angela, and daughter, Janalee, both of California; as well as other family and friends including Gloria Soto and Stacy Happle.

He was preceded in death by his parents and twin sisters.

Cremation was chosen and Peter's ashes will be scattered at the North Platte River. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
