Mr. Kitty Yoda Checker, also known as Max, came into our lives in 2005 as a little lost cat and left peacefully as family. He found a home with Mike and Katy Varicak on Sycamore Street and enjoyed visiting Rick and Dodie Odean at Odean Colonial Chapel. Katy and Mike took good care of Mr. Kitty giving him lots of love and attention and plenty of toys. Katy kept great track of his comings and goings and loved him dearly. Max was such a smart kitty, sleeping with his head on a pillow and knowing when to do his "roll over" trick with Mike. Mr. Kitty was a friendly cat who enjoyed meeting people and letting them scratch his belly. He was known to greet people and give them comfort as they visited the funeral home. He liked warm spots for sleeping and the chance to come and go as he pleased. Mr. Kitty Yoda Checker was a very happy kitty. Max especially enjoyed being outside in the yard bird watching, catching small animals or just relaxing in any one of his many spots in the house or in the yard. He was known to make his daily rounds around the neighborhood and frequent other neighbors on Sycamore Street. He also kept tabs on when Rick was at the funeral home. Visiting children would carry him around, play with him and pet him. Max was always so easy going. Mr. Kitty Yoda Checker was a remarkable kitty. He leaves an empty place in the hearts of Katy and Mike and Rick and Dodie. Max will also be missed by the Varicak children and grandchildren. Max, we don't know when you were born but you did leave us on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at home after giving us many years of companionship, friendship and love. Cremation was chosen. Max's cremains will be scattered with his favorite catnip plant at a later date. Memorials can be made in the form of cat food or toys to your local animal shelter. The memorial book may be signed at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore.
