Mary Ann Virginia Everett

Mary Ann Virginia Everett, 94, of Brady, NE, died at her home on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Mary Ann was born May 25, 1920, to Earl and Martha Panabaker in Omaha, NE. During her first year, the family moved to Dalton, NE where her father became the Seed Potato King of Nebraska. On July 12, 1937, Mary Ann married Leonard M. Brush and to this union two children were born, Shirley Ann and Kent Lee. In 1949, Mary Ann married Elmer H. Everett and became the mother to Fred Delbert, John Michael and Robert Eugene and later welcomed Candace Jeanne. The family made their home in Denver, CO. Mary Ann loved flowers, especially African Violets, and was known for remembering others with birthday cards. She also enjoyed making scrapbooks for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and for many years her great-grandchildren received her homemade Christmas ornaments. She will be missed by her daughters, Shirley (Harry) Most, of Brady and Candace (Greg) Greer, of Oklahoma; her sons, Kent (Yona) Brush, of Florida and Fred Everett, Mike Everett and Robert (Ruth) Everett, all of Colorado; her sister, Lacinda Anderson, of Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other family and her friends. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Martha Panabaker; her husbands, Leonard Brush and Elmer Everett; two brothers, Robert (Betty) Panabaker and Richard Panabaker; two sisters, Genevieve Maher and Megan Bjork; a brother-in-law, Vic Anderson; her daughter-in-law, Barb Everett; two granddaughters, Karlynda Most and Amy Most; a grandson, Peter Everett; and a great-grandson, Mitchell Most. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Maxwell Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Brady Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore. Condolences may also be shared at odeanchapel.com. Memorials are suggested to the San Juan Bible Camp, 14260 County Road 39.9, Mancos, CO 81328 or to the Maxwell Baptist Church Building Fund. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
