Martin Thomas

M artin T homas of Wellfleet, NE, passed away at Great Plains Health on March 29, 2023, at the age of 60.

Martin was born to Eugene and Judith Thomas on April 12, 1962, in Denver. He grew up and attended school in San Jose, CA. He moved to Reno, NV, and had three children, Mark, Matthew and Hannah, and he adopted Paul and Anthony. In 2022 he relocated to Wellfleet to be close to his mother.

Martin worked as a jack-of-all-trades and could fix anything; he especially liked to fix old cars with Hannah. He loved to hike, golf and shoot and was the kindest man you could know. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone. Martin was loved so much by his children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene; twin brother, Mark; and infant son, Mark Thomas.

Survivors include Martin's mother, Judith Hovland of Wellfleet; daughter, Hannah Thomas-Gantar (Justin) of Greenwood, IN; sons, Matthew Thomas (April) of Bargersville, IN, Paul Thomas (Katy) of Spicewood, TX, and Anthony Thomas of Reno, NV; grandchildren, Samuel, Jude, Tanner, Henry, Ahyoka, Hania and Aven; brothers, David Gill (Dawn) of San Jose, CA, and Michael Gill (Leslie) of Fernley, NV; sisters, Tracy Byram of Fernley, NV, and Diane Greene (Sid) of Sacramento, CA; and other family.
