Mark Davis

M ark D avis, of North Platte, passed away at home surrounded by his family on May 19, 2021, at the age of 68.

Mark was born in North Platte on August 4, 1952, the son of Raymond and Marie Davis.  He grew up in North Platte where he graduated from NPHS in 1970.

On August 22, 1970, Mark wed Vikki Westphal.  They moved to Kearney where Mark was enrolled in Kearney State College then eventually moved to Estes Park, Colorado, where they both worked for Rocky Mountain National Park for several years before returning home.

Mark's hobbies included shooting, reading and learning about history, he was a true "history buff".  He also enjoyed NASCAR , caring for goats and chickens, and had a great love for his family.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Vikki, and parents, Raymond and Marie Davis.

Survivors include his daughters, Johnna (Shawn) Silos, of North Platte and Joni Davis, of Selma, TX; grandchildren, Melissa Townsend, Neissa (Kaelin) Becker, Tylan Silos and Sydney Silos; great-grandkids, Ace Davis and Vera Becker; as well as other family that he loved so dearly.

Cremation was chosen.  Private family services will be at a later date.  The memorial book may be signed online at odeanchapel.com.  Memorials are to the Salvation Army or Pawsitive Partners.  Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
