Mark Angliss

M ark A ngliss, age 70, of North Platte, passed away at home on May 18, 2021.

Mark was born at Rockville Center, NY, to Robert and Phyllis Angliss on August 17, 1950. He grew up in Amityville, NY, where he graduated from high school. Mark moved to Emporia, KS, to attend college then was drafted into the U.S. Army in June of 1970. After his honorable discharge in '72, Mark returned to Emporia where he opened a gas station then worked for Montgomery Wards.

In 1971 Mark married Patty Oxley in Emporia and that is where their daughter, Lori, was born. The family later moved to North Platte with Mark's job at Montgomery Wards then their daughter, Lisa, was born. In 1977 the Angliss family moved again, this time to Boulder, CO, where Mark worked for IBM and later with Spectralink.

After he and Patty divorced in 1981, Mark married Margaret Udick and they made their home in Nederland, CO, for 22 years. He returned to North Platte in 2014 where he lived a simple life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert.

Mark is survived by his daughters, Lori Timberman, of Arvada, CO, and Lisa Angliss, of Broomfield, CO, and their mother, Patti Oxley; grandson, Dylan Sanders; his mother, Phyllis Angliss, of West Chester, NY; sisters, Kim (Bobby) Gage, of New York and Robin Merante, of Ohio; and other family.
