Marilyn Miller, 72, of North Platte, passed away at home on Monday, June 17, 2019.
Marilyn was born on January 10, 1947, to Orville and Bessie Zeigler in North Platte where she grew up. Marilyn attended North Platte Senior High and worked at the Cedar Bowl, which was her first job.
While working at the Cedar Bowl, Marilyn met Karl Miller and the couple married on September 16, 1964, at Fairfield, Texas. They lived in Texas for a number of years, first in Galveston then Pasadena until 1971 when they returned to Nebraska and settled down in a home south of Paxton where they raised their kids. Marilyn eventually moved back to North Platte in 2013.
She was a member of the Paxton Gardening Club and had her own business, Lady Bugs Lawn Service. Marilyn enjoyed gardening, fishing and baking pies. She was a friendly person who loved chatting with others.
She is survived by her children, Troy (Julie) Miller, of Hay Springs, Adrian Miller, of Omaha and Katrina (Richard) Shiers, of Balsall Common, England; grandchildren, Jamie (Jackie) Shiers, Emma (Tom) Ward, Jacob Miller, Kaleb Miller, Jason Miller, Alex Miller and Seth Manhart; great-grandkids, Harvey and Carly Ward; as well as many other family members.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Karl; and parents, Orville and Bessie Zeigler.
