Loretta Smith

L oretta S mith of North Platte passed away January 2, 2023, at Great Plains Health. She was 82 years old.

Loretta, the daughter of Robert and Mabel Williams, was born April 5, 1940, in Ava, Missouri, where she grew up.

Loretta married Glenn Smith in Douglas County, Missouri, and that is where they first lived. They later moved to California where Loretta worked in a nursing home. In 2017 they moved to North Platte.

Loretta had various hobbies, which included bead working, and she loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ronnie; and her sons, Jeffrey, Sr. and baby Olon.

Loretta is survived by her husband, Glenn, and son, Ricky Smith of North Platte; grandchildren, Julie and Jeff Smith; sister, Victoria Rippee of Springfield, Missouri; two great-grandchildren; and other family.
