Linda Kay Boyle

Linda Kay Boyle, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family September 28, 2025. Linda was born July 9, 1949 in North Platte to William and Hazel Beatrice (Bokoskie) Osborne-Funk. In 1967, Linda graduated from North Platte High School.

Linda was united in marriage to James Michael (Mike) Boyle on December 24, 1970 in Sutherland, NE. By 1978, they settled on the ranch, north of Hershey, NE. Together, they had one son, Shawn Boyle. The Boyle family shared many memories together at rodeos.

Linda worked as a licensure clerk for Lincoln County Courthouse, at Correl West Western Store and drove a school bus for the surrounding area schools.

Linda enjoyed mowing and taking care of her yard, planting flowers, taking pictures of her family at various rodeos, volunteering for luncheons, and shopping till partners dropped.

Linda never met a stranger and always volunteered herself to take care of everyone’s needs, often before her own.

Linda is preceded in death by parents, William (Bill) Osborne, Hazel (Bea) and Charles Funk; grandparents, William and Verna Funk, Louis and Hazel Bokoskie; her husband, Mike Boyle; brothers, Jamie Osborne, Kerby Osborne, Terry Osborne, and Teddy Funk

Linda leaves behind her son, Shawn (Billie Jo) Boyle of Brady, NE; siblings, Rocky Osborne of Sheppard, MT and Sonya Borunda of Sutherland, NE; grandchildren, Jessica and Josh Flint of Arnold, NE and Justin Schrad of Siver Creek, NE; great grandchildren, Paisley Connelly, Charlee Flint, Anna Schrad and Wajer Flint; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Odean Colonial Chapel with Mark Baldwin officiating. Burial will be located at the Sutherland Riverview Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Angel Flight. Odean Colonial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
