J udith "Judy" Streeter was born September 7, 1944, in Kearney, NE, to George and Beulah Trembly. She peacefully passed away on May 10, 2025, at Great Plains Health at age 80.
Judy grew up and attended school in North Platte. After the 6th grade she learned to bake from her mother, and years later she enjoyed baking for her own family. She went on to work at the Railway Cafe then TRW with her sisters.
On February 2, 1963, she married Raymond Streeter and they made their home in North Platte. The couple welcomed four children, Pamela, Michael, Todd and Doug, and were married for 61 years when Ray passed away last year.
Judy was a stay home mom and led a Christian life. She enjoyed reading her bible and going to church at Assembly of God. Along with her love for the Lord, was her love for her family.
Along with her husband, Ray, she was preceded in death by their daughter, Pamela Streeter; her parents, George and Beulah Trembly; brothers and their wives, Jack and Gaye Trembly, Chet and Dorothy Trembly, Bill and Evelyn Little; her sisters and their husbands, Joan and Tom Nelson, Marie and Ray Lange, Esther and Glen Houck, Peg and Darrel Hill; brothers-in-law, Bob Hatfield and Kenneth Hasbrouck; and granddaughter, Meagan.
Judy is survived by her sons, Mike (Shannon), Todd (Donna) and Doug (Laurie); grandchildren, Megan, Chad, Daniel (Chelsea), Micheal (Amanda), Chris (Ashley), Dustin (Anna), Denise (Daniel), Kaylen and Logan; 12 great-grandchildren; her sister, Jean Hatfield of Casper, WY; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Services are 10 a.m., Saturday, May 17, at New Life Church with Pastor Tyler Barone officiating. Burial is 2 p.m., Monday, May 19, at Fort McPherson National Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and with family greeting from 4-6 p.m. at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to New Life Church.
