Jessie Gallegos

J essie G allegos, age 51, of North Platte, died unexpectedly at Great Plains Health on January 8, 2023.

Jessie was born in Ogallala to Amanda and Juan Francisco Gallegos, Sr. on January 23, 1971. He grew up in Ogallala and was raised in the Catholic church. He graduated from Ogallala High School in 1985.

Jessie loved cooking and creating his own recipes, and worked doing what he loved. He cooked for the 76 Truck Restaurant for 10 years then at Golden Spur and Country Kitchen until his health declined. When he wasn't cooking, Jessie enjoyed playing video games, doing mechanic work and going for walks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Clementine Perez, Rosie Juarez and Minerva Gallegos.

Jessie is survived be his siblings, Joe (Karma) Gallegos of Denver, CO, Frank (Berta) Gallegos of Brule, Carlos Gallegos and Amanda (Will) Deuerlein of North Platte, Janie (Martin) Jehorek, of Lincoln, and David Gallegos; brother-in-law, Calletano Perez, of West Grove, PA; numerous nieces and nephews including Guadalupe, Christopher, Matthew and Frank, Jr.; as well as many other family members.
