J effery C ampbell, formerly of North Platte, passed away at his home in Oklahoma on October 16, 2022, at the age of 63.
Jeffery, the son of Lewis 'Chuck' and Barbara Campbell, was born in North Platte on January 12, 1959. The family later moved to Colorado where Jeff graduated from William Mitchell High School in Colorado Springs then Pikes Peak State College with his degree in criminal justice.
Jeffery had great pride in America. He earned his God and Country award in Boy Scouts and later enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1980. He served five years active duty in Texas, Washington, Germany and Nebraska then joined the Air Force Reserves. He retired in 2007 with the rank of Master Sergeant.
Jeffery was vetted by Homeland Security to work with the Federal Air Marshals in Nevada, Texas and Maryland. He transferred to the Department of Justice, Eastern District of the U.S. Marshals in Oklahoma in 2021 and was still working at the time of his passing.
Jeffery will be remembered for his patriotism and loyalty.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chuck Campbell; and grandparents, George and Lois Wilson and Earl and Martha Campbell.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Campbell, and sister, Cyndy (Gary) Wood of Monument, CO; as well as many extended family members.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Odean Colonial Chapel. Inurnment will follow in Fort McPherson National Cemetery with military honors. Condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
