Jeanette Ione Cline

July 14, 1943 — May 29, 2018

Jeanette Ione Cline, 74, longtime resident of North Platte, NE, and formerly of White River, SD, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, 29 May, 2018, at home surrounded by her family following a short courageous battle with cancer.

Jeanette was born the youngest of seven children to Everett Galen, Sr. and Fern Marguerite Green on 14 July, 1943, at Kadoka, SD. She was raised on the family ranch northwest of White River, SD, later moving into White River with her parents where she graduated high school.

On 12 August, 1961, Jeanette married her high school sweetheart, Gary Lee Cline, at the Methodist Church in Murdo, SD, and to this union four children were born. Jeanette and Gary celebrated 56 years of marriage in 2017.

Jeanette donated blood and platelets for many years. She was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church, NP Genealogical Society, Eastern Star, TOPS and Job's Daughters where she was a Past Honored Queen. Her real love was family genealogy which she researched with a passion. Jeanette loved her family and will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

Preceding Jeanette in death were her parents; sisters, Marguerite Oyler and Darlene Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Winnie Green; brother-in-law, Joe Oyler; and great-granddaughter, Emilia Clough.

Survivors include her husband, Gary, of North Platte; children, Kit (Ronda) Cline, of Rapid City, SD, Robin (Kent) Brown, of North Platte, Penny (Richard) Ball, of Wellfleet, NE, and Heath (Mary Jo) Cline, of Encampment, WY; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren with 3 more arriving this year; brothers, Everett Jr. (Arlene) Green and Gene Green, of White River, SD, Bob (Molly) Green, of Bellingham, WA, and Alan (Sandy) Green, of Valentine, NE; brother-in-law, Larry Hutchinson, of White River, SD; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

In lieu of flowers, memorials are to Emilia's Wings to advocate for families suffering infant loss.
