Jaustin Koubek

October 19, 1993 — May 7, 2021

J austin K oubek, of North Platte, got his heavenly wings on May 7, 2021, at the age of 27.

Jaustin was born October 19, 1993, to Joseph and Jeanna (Peck) Koubek in North Platte. He was raised in the country, on the South Platte River in North Platte, and that's where his love for nature began. From there he found his passion for four-wheeler's, starting with a 220 red Bayou then a Yamaha 80 dirt bike and eventually graduating to a 125 Kawasaki dirt bike that fueled his hunger for speed. Jaustin's hunger was temporarily met with his 250 2 stroke Kawasaki dirt bike only to have him long for more, until he found his true passion in his first love, a 350 twin 2 stroke Banshee four-wheeler. His second love was his baby blue '66 Chrysler 300, which he was working on restoring. He loved taking old beauty and making it new again.

Jaustin love for four-wheelin' also led to his love for being outdoors, camping with his family, and traveling from California to Florida, but Maui, Hawaii, was his favorite place where he enjoyed eating fresh fruit and visiting the Garden of Eden.

Jaustin was a very generous and happy person who would give the shirt off his back to a stranger and always saw the good in everyone. He had a laugh that was contagious and a smile that would light up a room. Jaustin dreamed of being a pilot and residing in Hawaii so he got his CDL to work towards his dream of being a pilot.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Erla and Frank Peck, Sr. and Robert Koubek; and second dad, Frank Savage.

Jaustin is survived by his parents, Joseph and Jeanna Koubek, and second parents, Deanna Savage and Steve Peck; grandma, Dorothy 'Dot' Koubek; brother, Jade Koubek; sister, Jamie Jo Koubek (fiancé, Aaron Smith), all of North Platte; and Jaylen Koubek, Madelyn Koubek, Jaxon Koubek and Jayce Smith, his niece and nephews who adored him; as well as other family.

Funeral service is 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Odean Colonial Chapel. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds. The memorial book may be signed online at odeanchapel.com or at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.
