Jacqueline Kay Edwards, 74, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away at her home on November 28, 2025.
Jacqueline was born on January 21, 1951, to Jack and Mary (McPherson) Brown in Hastings, Nebraska, where she grew up and attended school.
Jacqueline married Paul Norman Edwards on April 14, 1977.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family. A true homebody, she enjoyed caring for her loved ones, playing cards, gambling, and relaxing by watching Hallmark movies. She was a proud Husker and Green Bay Packers fan and had a special fondness for collecting lighthouses.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her sister, Marilyn McCullough.
Jacqueline is survived by her daughter, Julie (Steve) Edwards; granddaughter, Whitney (Nate) Wheeler; and great-grandchildren, Hadley, Madeline, Josiah, and Vyvia, all of North Platte; brother, Randy Brown of North Platte; sisters, Linda Wilson of Beatrice, Beth Brown of North Platte, Barb (Roy) Welch, and Christy (Dennis) Wilson, all of Lincoln.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Odean Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska. Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Odean Colonial Chapel.
