Ivan Oberg

I van O berg, of North Platte, passed away in Lincoln, on May 2, 2021, at the age of 64.

Ivan was born in Gothenburg to Sarah and Alfred Oberg on February 8, 1957. He grew up and went to school in North Platte. Ivan liked going to stock car races, among other hobbies. On July 24, 2010, he married Julie Sabin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Alfred; and several aunts and uncles.

Ivan is survived by his sister, Dian (Tom) Jenkins; brothers, Tom (Cheri) Oberg, John (Camille) Oberg; wife, Julie; several nieces and nephews; and plenty of friends.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021, at the Gothenburg Cemetery with Pastor James Trippett officiating. The memorial book may be signed online at odeanchapel.com. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
