Isabell Cervantez

I sabell C ervantez, age 63, of North Platte, passed away at Great Plains Health on November 15, 2021.

Isabell was born to Jesse and Frances Cervantez on August 5, 1958, in Sutherland and grew up in Hershey. After graduating from Hershey High School, Isabell attended Mid-Plains Community College where she received her Optometric Assistant Certification.

Isabell worked for Dr. John Dorwart at Shopko Optical, Dr. Mark Young, Dr. Tim Meyer and for Eye Care Specialists for many years until she retired.

Isabell was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She had lots of hobbies which included sewing and crafts. Isabell loved her family, especially her nieces and great-nieces, and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse.

Isabell is survived by her mother, Frances Cervantez, of Hershey; sister, Lori Cervantez, of North Platte; brothers, John (Rosie) Rodriguez, of North Platte and Adolfo 'Rudy' (Beatrice) Rodriguez, of Oklahoma City, OK; her nieces, Priscilla (Derek) Voss, Stephanie Rodriguez (Mike Laack), Monica Rodriguez (Roberto Velazquez) and Natasha Martinez; great-nieces, Shayla, Jocylin, Annika, Ceven, Camila, Lola and Madelyn; her dog, Sandi; as well as many close family members.

Cremation was chosen. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with a Rosary at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. The memorial book may be signed at odeanchapel.com or prior to services at the church. Memorials are to the North Platte Catholic Schools Endowment Fund. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
