Imogene Lois Boyle, age 95, of North Platte, NE, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Linden Court.

Imogene was born August 3, 1922, at Lincoln, NE, to Alphons and Randina Henn. She grew up in Albion, NE, where she graduated from high school.

On November 16, 1946, Imogene was united in marriage to Carroll James Boyle at Julesburg, CO. They lived in Columbus, NE, until Carroll was transferred to North Platte with his job on the railroad. The couple raised three children and were co-owners of the Corner Grocery until 1969. Imogene later went to work as a secretary for Judge Stewart then after four years she was elected Clerk of the District Court of Lincoln County. She held her position for 12 years before retiring in 1987.

Imogene was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary Post #163. Following her retirement, Imogene learned to play golf and swim then joined the Water Lilies Aquasize Girls swim group. She did yoga for many years, was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing. Imogene was also a big sports fan. She loved watching the Huskers, especially football and volleyball, and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll; parents, Alphons and Randina Henn; and brother, Kenneth Henn.

Imogene is survived by her children, John (Beth) Boyle, of Greeley, CO, James (Christi) Boyle, of North Platte and Janet (Tim) Haith, of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Karli (John) Hoffmeier, Pam (Gene) Blondel, Angie (Josh) Crowner, Karie (Lester) Sheets, Megan (Nick) Davis and Brian Boyle; great-grandchildren, Camron, Jaylee, Connor, Jakob, Aidan and Allison; niece, Pam (Craig) Smith, of Arnold, NE; nephew, Dennis (Kris) Henn, of Lincoln, NE; and other family.

Cremation was chosen. Graveside Memorial Service and inurnment will be 3 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, in Fort McPherson National Cemetery with Pastor Steven Berke officiating. The memorial book may be signed at odeanchapel.com or at the graveside. Memorials are suggested to First Evangelical Lutheran Church or the donor's choice. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
