Herlinda Kopecky

Herlinda D. Kopecky, 75, of North Platte, NE, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015, at Great Plains Health. Herlinda was born June 24, 1939, to Ismael Arguello and Jovita Soto in San Francisco, Mexico. She grew up and attended school in Mexico. Herlinda later married Willie Burt 'Bill' Dailey of Arnold, NE and they made their home in Arnold before moving to North Platte. Bill passed away in 1969. On July 7, 1984, Herlinda married Peter J. Kopecky at North Platte where they made their home. Herlinda was a member of the First Christian Church and was actively involved with many church activities. She enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and loved being outdoors. Herlinda especially loved her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Peter, of North Platte; her children and grandchildren, Joe (Debbie) Dailey, of Omaha, NE, Jerry (Teresa) Dailey, of Papillion, NE, and their children, Jared and Trevor Dailey, Linda (Mat) Fhuere, of Utah, and their children, Matthew (Bobbie), Anthony and Rayce Fhuere; a brother, Ismael, and sisters, Alicia, Maria, Ana Maria, all of Mexico; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family. Along with her first husband, Bill, Herlinda was preceded in death by her parents, Ismael and Jovita Soto; a sister, Rita; a grandson, Zachary; and two baby grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2015, at the First Christian Church with Pastor Timothy Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the North Platte Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore. Condolences may also be shared at odeanchapel.com. Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church.
