Gwendolyn Luree Golden

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Golden passed away in North Platte on December 2, 2025, at age 90.

Gwen was born January 7, 1935, to Lillian and William Hoban. She grew up in North Platte with her 8 siblings. After graduating high school, Gwen married Billy Golden on November 23, 1952. They raised six children and Gwen worked various jobs before retiring and helping at the Thrift Center.

Gwen loved fishing and hanging out at the lake; she and Billy were fortunate to have lived there for a time. She was a great wife and mom, and was always good to the grandkids.

Gwen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and their children, John and Connie; brothers, Ron, Moe, Fay, Buck and Andy; sister, Helen; grandson, Tyler; and great-granddaughter, Lola.

She is survived by her son, Billy Joe, and daughters, Jodell (Tim), Sugar (Jac) and Liliana (Mike); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; her siblings, Terry and Jodi; and many other family members.

A Celebration of Life lunch will be held at the North Platte Moose Lodge on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com. Odean Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
