Gabe Soto

G abe S oto was born February 24, 1949, to Joseph and Benita Soto in North Platte.  He peacefully passed away March 19, 2025, at age 76.

Gabe grew up in North Platte and graduated with the N.P.H.S. Class of 1967.  He enlisted into the U.S. Navy in 1969 and was honorably discharged the following year.

Gabe returned home and went to work for Grease Monkey then started his own business, Gabe's Standard Gas Station, then Soto's Auto Detail Shop and Soto's Dojo Karate Training.  Gabe later worked for Karl's Furniture and Soto's Security.  He loved working with his hands and keeping busy and attended Bethel Evangelical Free Church.

He is survived by his brother, Felix Soto of Hershey, and sister, Jenny Young (Anthony) of Tucson, AZ; niece, Kristi Naranjo (TJ), and nephews, Ricci Soto (Casey) and Brian Soto; and other family.

Gabe was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lucy Archer and Josie Tyson (Tim); and brother, Lupe Soto.
