Floyd Justin Bokoskie

Floyd Justin Bokoskie passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026. Floyd was born on November 20, 1933 in North Platte to Louis and Hazel Bokoskie.

Floyd graduated from North Platte High School in 1951. After graduation, he served in the Army National Guard and was drafted into the Army, where he served in Germany. He later worked on the railroad. He also enjoyed cutting trees and building houses to provide for his family.

Floyd married Bernadine (Gutherless) in 1958. They loved square dancing. Together they had three sons and four daughters. Floyd loved hunting, fishing, and teaching his children and grandchildren. 

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; and three daughters, Beverly, Ardell and Charlene (Reed).

His memory will be left by his wife of 67 years; sons, John (Marion), Bill (Kilynne), and Mike; daughter, Deanna Trierweiler; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren along with many other family members.

A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 27th, at Odean Colonial Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, near Maxwell, at 11:00 a.m. with military honors. Memorials may be made to Nebraska Veterans Aid.
