Floyd Justin Bokoskie passed away peacefully on February 20th, 2026. Floyd was born on November 20th, 1933 in North Platte to Louis and Hazel Bokoskie.
He graduated from North Platte High School in 1951. After graduation he served in the Army National Guard and was drafted into the Army where he served in Germany. He worked on the railroad. He also enjoyed cutting trees, building houses to provide for his family.
Floyd married Bernadine (Gutherless) in 1958. They loved square dancing. He also loved hunting, fishing, and teaching his children and grandchildren. Together they had 3 sons and 4 daughters.
Floyd is preceded by his parents; 3 daughters, Beverly, Ardell and Charlene (Reed).
His memory will be left by his wife of 67 years; sons, John (Marion), Bill (Kilynne), and Mike; daughter, Deanna Trierweiler; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren along with many other family members.
Memorial service is at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 27th, at Odean Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, near Maxwell, at 11 a.m. with full military honors. Odean Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com
