Eva Stienbarger

Eva Marie Stienbarger, formerly of North Platte, NE, died in her home on December 2, 2024.

Eva was born April 4, 1939, to John and Evelyn Ellis on her grandparent's farm south of Brady, NE.   She grew up in and around Moorefield, NE and attended country schools there and near Ava, MO, where she graduated from the 8th grade.

She married Leslie Wayne Stienbarger in December of 1958 in North Platte.  To this union a son, Eugene Leroy and daughter, Tammy Lea, were born.

Over the years, Eva worked in various jobs and was a hard worker.   She worked as a prep cook and dishwasher in various restaurants, and after receiving her CNA in 1975, she was a nurse's aid in hospitals, nursing homes, and private residences.

Eva was baptized on February 27, 1954, in Kansas and was a devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.   She will be remembered for her compassion to others and being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, and brother, Harry.

Eva is survived by her sister, Wanda (Dwight) Peterson; her daughter ,Tammy (Mike) Fast; two grandchildren, Cassandra (Keith) Boesker and Timothy (Angel) Fast; as well as six great-grandchildren, a niece, nephew and their families.   She is also survived by so many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, in Plainview Cemetery near Maxwell, NE. Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com.  Visitation is prior to the service at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.
