Eric Nichols

Eric James Nichols Eric James Nichols, 24 years, went home to his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 29, 2014, at North Platte, NE. Eric was born August 31, 1990, to Douglas D. Gunsch and Rhonda L. Nichols at Bismarck, ND. Eric and his mom moved to Nebraska in 1991, living in Kearney until February 2014 when they moved to North Platte. Eric started preschool at the age of 3 and attended Kearney Public Schools through his senior year. Eric touched everyone's life in different ways and was special to many. He will be missed by his mother, Rhonda Nichols; grandparents, Clyde Nichols and Loretta Masters; and uncles, Kyle (Kay) Nichols and Dewaine Nichols, all of North Platte; aunt, Janet (Alex) Crook, of Phoenix, AZ; and other family and his friends. Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barbara Ann Nichols and Robert Masters. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015, at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery near Tryon, NE. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. until service time at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore which is in charge of arrangements.
