E ddy R osencutter, age 85, of North Platte, passed away September 25, 2022, at Great Plains Health.

He was born September 15, 1937, to Albert 'Hap' and Minnie Rosencutter at Manhattan, KS. The family moved to North Platte in 1939 where Eddy grew up and graduated from North Platte High School in 1955.

On June 8, 1957, Eddy married Wanda Dickenson at North Platte where they made their home and raised three sons. Eddy first worked for Central Nebraska Packing as a Maintenance Electrician then hired on with the Union Pacific Railroad in 1961 as an Electrician and worked various jobs in the Mechanical and Transportation Departments. He retired from there in 1997 due to health complications.

Eddy was a member of Eagles Aires #2839, a 40 year Master Mason with Platte Valley Lodge #32 AF & AM, a member of the Elks Club for over 30 years and a retired life member of the United Transportation Union. He loved Nebraska outdoor activities, fishing, hunting and gardening were his favorites. Eddy also enjoyed socializing with friends and attending dances with the love of his life, Wanda.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hap and Louise Rosencutter; and infant daughter, Brenda.

Eddy is survived by his wife of 65 years, Wanda; sons, Mitch (Paula) Rosencutter of Omaha, Mark (Valerie) Rosencutter of Papillion and Daniel (Roxanne) Rosencutter, of Lemoyne, NE; granddaughters, Hanna and Morgan Rosencutter; as well as several nieces, nephews and other family.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Friday, September 30, 2022, in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Cremation was chosen. The memorial book may be signed online at odeanchapel.com or at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.
