Doyle Gene McIntosh, 91 passed away on May 1, 2026. He was born January 27, 1935 in North Platte, Nebraska to George and Wilma Cady McIntosh.
He was active in Scouting during his youth and achieved the rank of Star Scout. He attended NPHS and excelled in basketball and football. In 1952, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served his country for four years and served additional four years with the Air Force Reserve.
He was employed with the Union Pacific Railroad, where he worked as a switchman, hostler, and locomotive fireman and engineer. He retired in 1995 after 30 years of service.
Doyle married his lifelong eternal companion, Janet Anderson on Dec 28, 1982. They were married for 44 years, and were deeply in love with each other.
He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a faithful believer in our Lord and Savior. He also served at the Winter Quarters Temple.
He loved to joke around and find a good bargain. In his prime, he spent his evenings playing pool, finishing fights, and was a fierce defender of his brother Ronnie. He spent many hours tinkering and fixing things and enjoyed watching sports. He was proud of his Scottish Highland heritage.
