Dorothy Miller

September 18, 1928 — December 6, 2024

D orothy M iller was born September 18, 1928, at her Grandmother Greeley's house in North Platte, Nebraska, welcomed by her parents, Harry and Rosa Lee.

Her daughter Jacqueline was born with her first husband.  In 1952 she married Mearl Miller, and he adopted Jackie.

Dorothy was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church where she served on various committees.  She also volunteered for many years at the hospital and Lincoln County Historical Museum.

On December 6, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska, she left our presence, but has joined her husband, Mearl.  Dorothy was the last to join her family circle of her parents and siblings: Ruby, Walter, Pearl, Opal, Agnes, Phyllis, Eva, Ben, Ruth, and Daisy.

Those that will miss her are her daughter, Jackie (Robert) Maline; grandson, Craig (Cherie) Maline; granddaughter, Robyn (Wayne) Walton; great-grandsons, Josh Maline, Christian and Caleb Walton; many nieces, nephews and friends she had met along life's journey.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 16, at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Evans officiating.  Burial is 2 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery.  Visitation with the family present is 4-6 p.m. on Sunday at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com.

Memorials are to the U.W.F. (United Women in Faith at the church) or the Lincoln County Historical Museum.
