Dorothy Dubach

D orothy D ubach of North Platte passed away on June 29, 2022, at the age of 94. Dorothy had just recently moved into the Curtis Senior Living Center where she was treated with kindness and great care.

Dorothy was born to Fred and Marie Schaer at Rushville, NE, where she grew up and attended school. Dorothy married Art Hoffman in 1952 and he passed away 10 years later.

On September 1, 1962, Dorothy was united in marriage to David Dubach. They lived in Rushville until moving to North Platte in 1971. Over the years Dorothy worked various jobs and worked hard to support her small family. She worked in restaurants, the Sirloin Stockade, Gibson's and Salvation Army, and was a member of the Eagle's Auxiliary.

Dorothy loved being with her family and lived to garden and grow flowers!

She leaves behind her son, Ken Dubach of North Platte; cousin, Mildred Stava of Rushville; and other family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands, Art Hoffman and David Dubach; and her parents, Fred and Marie Schaer.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022, in the North Platte Cemetery. Please come in your casual attire. Visitation is Friday from noon to 7 p.m. at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com.
