D orie T raxler unexpectedly passed away at her home in North Platte on November 19, 2022, at the age of 64.
Dorie, the daughter of Ralph and Rhoda Moore, was born in Kearney on February 5, 1958. After graduating from Kearney High School she married David Traxler. They lived in Kearney before moving to Central City. Following David's death in 1996 the family moved to North Platte.
While in Central City, Dorie worked in a care home and attended school to be a CNA. She later became a home maker, devoting her time to her family and her birds. She enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives and wrestling.
Dorie loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and was hopelessly devoted to them all. She will be greatly missed and always loved.
Along with her husband, Dorie was preceded in death by her sister, Donna and husband, Johnny Traxler; sisters-in-law, Darlene Shea and Shirley Butler; brothers-in-law, Lloyd and Sam Traxler; and her parents.
Survivors include Dorie's children, Daisy (Dave) Clark of North Platte and David Traxler of Cozad; stepdaughter, Lora DeBord of Iowa; her brothers, Danny and Walter Moore of Kearney; sisters-in-law, Betty Traxler of Grand Island, Linda (Don) Phelps of Salina, KS, and Heidi Traxler of Germany; brother-in-law, Jim Shea; her grandchildren, Jessica DeBord, Emily Bell, and Dakota and Chyann Clark; great-grandson, Caspian Roberts; and other family.
Cremation was chosen and services will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
