Donna Stack

D onna S tack, age 89, formerly of North Platte, Nebraska, peacefully passed away on January 23, 2022, at Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where she was residing.

Donna was born May 7, 1932, in Dawson County, Nebraska. She was the fifth child born to Charles and Myrtle Wood. Donna graduated from Oconto High School with the Class of 1950.

On September 3, 1950, Donna married Delbert Stack and from this union three children, Linda, Doug and Debbie, were born. Donna and Delbert raised their family in North Platte until 1982 when they moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming. In 2012 Donna moved to Lake Havasu City.

Not only was Donna a dedicated daughter, wife and mother, she was a hard worker and caregiver to Delbert. After working long hours Donna would dedicate the remainder of her day taking care of Delbert until he could no longer remain at home.

Donna was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert, and daughter, Linda; her parents, Charles and Myrtle Wood; and siblings, Lester, Norma Burkey, Kenneth, Audrey Lammers, Joyce Stack, Alan, Charles, Calvin and Clarice Kleinkneicht.

Donna is survived by her son, Doug and wife, Joyce Stack, of North Platte and daughter, Debbie and husband, Doug Leonhardt, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; brothers, Gary and wife, Marty Wood, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Rod and wife, Sandy Wood, of Lexington; four grandchildren, Missy and husband, Mike Gablenz, Nathan and wife, Karissa Stack, Kelsey and husband, Barry Patton, and Stacy Leonhardt; as well as seven great-grandchildren, a great great-grandson due in June, and other family.

Cremation was chosen. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022, in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens with Pastor Emily McCreery officiating.  The memorial book may be signed online at odeanchapel.com.  Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
