Donna Cosme

D onna C osme of North Platte passed away April 6, 2023, at Great Plains Health at the age of 61.

Donna was born to Daniel and Mary Lou Roberts on September 3, 1961, at Redding, CA. She grew up in California where she lived in San Francisco and Hamilton City. After graduating from Hamilton City High School in 1979 Donna attended Butte College.

On April 8, 1980, Donna married Gildardo Cosme in Orland, CA. They lived in California for 13 years before moving to North Platte where they settled and raised a family. Donna worked several cashier jobs over the years and had been at Walmart the past 12 years.

Donna enjoyed playing in a pool league at Kelsey's, solving word searches, watching game shows and listening to Mexican music. She especially loved her kids and grandkids.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, father, and sister, Danette Rodriguez.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Lou Roberts of Anderson, CA; four children, Maria (Rodolfo) Vazquez of Hershey, Isidro Cosme (Alicia) of North Platte, Cristal (Gustavo) Garcia of Holdrege and Gilberto Cosme of North Platte; her significant other, Sam Domingues of North Platte; sisters, Patricia Roberts of Youngstown, OH, and Caroline (Richard) Everson of Stockton, CA; grandchildren, Jose, Marisol, Carmen, Maribel, Aaliyah, Marabell, Beyonka, Katalina, Rylan and Jaxon; as well as other family and many friends.

Cremation was chosen. Celebration of Life will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at One Church (515 N Lincoln) with Pastor D.B. Mathis officiating. Services will be livestreamed on the church's Facebook page. The guest book may be signed online at odeanchapel.com or at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family for a tree planting in Cody Park or the donor's choice.
