Dennis Ray Peden

Dennis Ray Peden, 64, of Columbus, NE passed away on Friday October 24, 2025. He and his twin sister were the youngest of 5 children born to Gerold and Bonnie (Hemenway) Peden on July 22, 1961 in North Platte, NE.

Dennis graduated in 1981 and moved to Lexington, NE, where he began working for Big Valley. In 1989, the company was purchased by Behlen Mfg of Columbus, NE, and Dennis relocated there, continuing his career for a total of 44 years. He was a dedicated and hardworking employee who had just recently retired.

Dennis was a wonderful brother and uncle who loved to joke and laugh with his family. He had a lifelong passion for old cars.

Dennis is survived by his siblings, Kathy (Chuck) Brauer of North Platte, NE, Julie Peden of Lincoln, NE, Mark Peden of Globe, AZ; brother-in-law, Mike Cardenas of North Platte, NE; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents; sister in infancy, Sandy; twin sister, Denise Cardenas; nephew, Chad Brauer; and sister-in-law, Darlene Peden.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Odean Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Plainsview Cemetery in Maxwell, NE.
