Cristina Cardenas

C ristina "Cris" Cardenas was born July 30, 1963, to Frank and Rose Cardenas.  She lived all her life in North Platte and passed away at the age of 61 on December 5, 2024, after a battle with cancer.

After graduating from N.P.H.S., Cris went to work at Sixth Street Grocery Store and Sunmart then Menards where she was an assistant manager.  In 1993 Cris met Robert Lawrence Sr. and they have been together ever since.

Cris was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.  She liked listening to music and loved being with her family and being a mom.  Cris leaves us all too soon and will always be loved and missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cris leaves behind her partner, Robert Lawrence Sr., and son, Robbie Jr.; siblings, Phillip Cardenas (Page), of Cheyenne, WY, and Jose Cardenas (Krystal), Thomas G. Cardenas, Linda Cardenas Johnson (Rick Miller) and Tammy Torrez (Brian), all of North Platte; and many other family members.

Services are Friday, December 13, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.  Rosary service begins at 10:30 a.m. then memorial service at 11 a.m.  Burial to follow in the North Platte Cemetery.  Visitation is prior to services at the church.  Memorials are to Robbie Lawrence, Jr.
