Cody Reynolds

O bern 'Cody' Reynolds, the son of Larry and Janet Reynolds, was born at Sutherland on January 26, 1972. He passed away in North Platte in May of 2022 at the age of 50.

Cody grew up on a ranch north of Stapleton and attended high school at Stapleton and Maxwell. He moved to Texas and became skilled at doing countertop work and instillation. When he returned to Nebraska in 2004 Cody worked for West Company in Kearney and also laid carpet with his cousin. He enjoyed working with his hands.

Cody had two daughters, Alaina and Chantell. He married Katie Skalka in Las Vegas and they later divorced. He liked to fish and had a love for weimaraners and jeeps.

Cody was taken from us too soon and will be missed.

He is survived by his father, Larry Reynolds of North Platte, and brother, Patricks Reynolds of Minnesota; aunts, Belle Gard of Helena, MT, and Penny Reynolds Kramer of North Platte; and his close cousins. Survivors also include Alaina and her husband, Tristian Jacobs, and their children, Briley and Clay, all of Smith Center, KS.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet, and infant daughter, Chantell.

Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Sutherland Riverview Cemetery. The memorial book may be signed online at odeanchapel.com. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
