Cliff Triplett

Clifford Martin Triplett, 80, of North Platte, NE, passed away at his home on Monday, August 24, 2015. Cliff was born January 11, 1935, to Marion 'Shorty' and Isabell Triplett at Holly, CO. The family later moved to Nebraska and lived in Grant, Keystone and Ogallala. Cliff graduated from Ogallala High School then worked for a gas station before joining the U.S. Army. Cliff served in the military for over 20 years before retiring in 1990 with the rank of Sergeant First Class. Following his discharge he worked for a construction company in Clarksville, TN then later moved to North Platte. Cliff enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his brothers, John Triplett, of North Platte and Marion 'Jim' Triplett, of Hershey, NE; sister, Mary Etta (Elmer) Witt, of North Platte; and several nieces, nephews and other family. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, Shorty and Isabell; a sister, Iva Mae Nuss; and sister-in-law, Rachel Wilma Triplett. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore with Pastor Gary Goodwin officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Fort McPherson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore which is in charge of arrangements.
