B ruce B rinker, age 62, of North Platte, passed away at Great Plains Health on February 18, 2023.
Bruce was born to William "Bill" and Lolita Brinker at Newcastle, WY, on July 3, 1960. He grew up in Chadron, NE, Rapid City, SD, and Corpus Christi, TX, where he graduated from high school in 1978. He then moved to North Platte and hired on with the Union Pacific Railroad, working as a signalman.
Bruce was united in marriage to Vickie Williss Tilford on March 20, 1993, in North Platte where they made their home.
Bruce was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen. He liked Nebraska sports and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching John Wayne movies, and playing slot machines. Bruce especially loved his family and making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lolita Brinker; and in-laws, Bob and Bea Williss.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Vickie; son, James Brinker of Geneva and daughter, Stacy Brinker of Tulsa, OK; stepchildren, Cyrus Tilford and Tanille (Thomas) Keefer of North Platte; his sister, Teresa (Curt) Bach of Chadron; brothers, Gary (Karen) Brinker and Bill (Deb) Brinker of North Platte; grandchildren, Joshua, Lukas, Josephine, Jazmin, Makenna, Rihanna, Taysen, Myah, Brantley, Mason, Cole, Ryker and Maybelle; his special girl, Macie; as well as other family.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Odean Colonial Chapel with Father Sagar officiating. The memorial book may be signed online at odeanchapel.com or Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
