Bob Mills

R obert "Bob" Mills, age 68,  passed away November 25, 2024, at The Maples in North Platte with his daughter Heather at his side.

Bob was born March 29, 1956, to Duane and Mary Mills in Fremont.  The family later moved to North Platte where he graduated from high school in 1975.  He moved to Lexington and worked as a welder then returned to North Platte and hired on with the Union Pacific Railroad, working as a machinist until retiring.

Bob loved bowling, fishing, hunting and NASCAR.  He especially liked football, his favorite teams were the Greenbay Packers and the Huskers, and was very active with AA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon; sisters, Carol Hovendick and Doris and husband, Samuel Frank; and son, Robert Mills.

Survivors include his daughters, Tara Mills (friend, Julio Sturghill) of Nesbitt, MS, and Heather Razes (Dennis) of Wellfleet; sister, Mary Wymer (David) of Portville, NY; grandchildren, Adam, Jacob, Samantha, Sabrina, Sydney, Destaney, Angel, Star, Robbie, Jr. and Little Robbie; as well as other family.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, at Odean Colonial Chapel with Pastor Mark Baldwin officiating. Burial to follow in Riverview Cemetery at Sutherland.  Visitation is prior to services at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.  Memorials are to the family.
